I Scream You Scream





I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream! Kendra @thepunkymunky knows how to do ice cream right. Check out this deliciousness. 

What's your favorite way to cook with your vitality oils?

RECIPE

1.5 c. milk

1 c. Sugar or Honey (I did 1/2 cup each)

5 egg yolks

Pinch of salt

1.5 c. Heavy Cream

3/4 c. Grape Juice 

Juice of 3 Lemons

3 drops Lavender EO 

3 drops lemon EO 

3 drops lime EO 

1. Heat 1 cup of the milk, pinch of salt, and the sugar (or honey) in a pan on med. heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. 

2. In a bowl whisk the egg yolks. Scoop 1/2 cup of the milk mixture in with the yolks whisking constantly until late smooth. 

3. Pour the egg yolks into the pan, and stir constantly over med high heat until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens. 

4. Remove from heat, and pour into a bowl. Whisk in the remaining 1/2 cup of milk, heavy cream, grape juice, lemon juice, lavender EO, lemon EO, and lime EO.

5. Refrigerate until chilled.

6. Once chilled, put into your ice cream freezer.

7. Enjoy! .

Belly Breathing





Did you know that shallow breathing is a trauma response? Funny when you figure out that you don't breathe right. It effects your vagus nerve which controls your parasympathetic nervous system. It can even effect digestion. It's something that stems from holding your breath due to trauma. Do you clench or grind your teeth also? I may or may not do that too 😁Taking 5 breaths in while filling your abdomen, holding for one count, and then breathing out to 5 while bringing your abdomen back in can help. It can even lower cortisol, your stress hormones. I'm starting the practice of doing this 5 times a day for a sequence of 5. And it looks like yoga might be my new best friend. Goes hand in hand, for many reasons. Join me.

MindWise



Bishop is a talking machine these days. We received this supplement for free with one of our Monthly Wellness Box orders from Young Living. We started using it mixed into his daily NingXia Red immediately. We are going on over a month of use now and the results are incredible. Just 1-2 tsps a day to support normal brain function and overall cognitive and cardiovascular function. Full of omega-3 fatty acids, turmeric, Coenzyme Q10, medium chain triglycerides, fruit extracts and pure essential oils, MindWise is a new and very welcome addition to our daily regimen. Do you think I'll ever get him to stop talking now that he's started!? 😂

Two Peas in a Pod






This might be the cutest thing I've ever seen. We watched frozen and the Giant snowman part is both loved and hated by Bishop. This is what Gideon did all on his own. Such a great big brother. These two drive me to the brink daily, but the way they love each other melts my heart. Terribly grainy picture and they desperately need haircuts, but I'm so glad I captured the sweetness.

Day 20: Foodie Friday-Electrolyte Drink





How many times have you seen your kiddo get light headed or even grouchy and realized that he or she was simply dehydrated? Push those electrolytes with this yummy oil-infused drink. Simply mix all ingredients together and enjoy!

16 oz Coconut water
2 oz Ningxia Red
⅛ tsp Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
2 tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey
Splash of Apple Cider Vinegar
1-2 drops each of Lemon, Lime & Orange Vitality essential oils

Day 19: NingXia Juice Boxes





Want a healthier version of a juice box? Try adding a Ningxia Red packet in your kids lunch. Pack a straw if needed (they can turn the packet over and poke the straw through the bottom of packet). OR, freeze the packet over night, throw it in the lunch box and they will have a tasty slushy for a lunchtime treat. Thanks to @my.oil.journey for this fun tip!

Day 18: Brain Power





My daughter loves to use Magnify Your Purpose and Brain Power on school days. She feels like it really helps her focus, complete her work and get more right answers! Who am I to argue? Smart girl!
